Campbell's Jazz Soup plays a fun blend of jazz, blues, and swing. Leader Brian Campbell serves up a tasty stew of hot clarinet and swinging saxophone. Mixed in to provide a feast for the ears is bluesy guitar and driving string bass. To top it off we can stir in some hearty vocals. We play everything from mellow background jazz to upbeat danceable swing. The trio can expand to as many as seven members with the addition of such instruments as trumpet, drums, and piano. Our most popular configuration is a quintet composed of the trio plus trumpet and drums. If you want to dance, the quintet is the way to go! For over ten years we've played many events throughout the San Francisco Bay Area including weddings, festivals, parties, and corporate affairs.
