Musician Information
Denver Evans was born in San Jose, California. His father, Randy Evans, was a well known country and rockabilly artist around the area in the 's. While Denver was still young, his family packed up and moved to East Tennessee, so his mother could be closer to her side of the family. When Denver turned thirteen, he began playing keyboard and singing harmony in his father's band in nightclubs and honky-tonks around East Tennessee. By the time Denver turned twenty-one, he decided to make playing music his full time job, so he took to the road playing keyboard for several different bands. Not long after he left home, his father was diagnosed with Leukemia. That was a devastating blow to Denver. In February of , his father passed away. After some time off, Denver realized his dad would not have wanted him to quit performing, so he went back on the road to continue his strive for success in the music business. Denver was playing keyboard and singing harmony for major artists, but was growing increasingly tired of being the "side-man" in the band. Denver says, "I always wanted to be like my dad, I just couldn't help but want to be up there singing like him". Finally, Denver moved out from behind the keyboard and hit center-stage. That move has paid off big for Denver. Now he is opening major concerts, writing and recording his own original material and is in talks with managers and investors about signing his very own record deal. Denver still likes to kick back behind a piano every now and then, but singing to his fans will always be where his heart is at.
