Nocturnal Silence began late February, . The band consisted then of band members; James Robinson on vocals, Fernando Guzman on drums and Jose Gutierrez(SMD) on lead guitar. Our genre at the time was pretty much thrash metal (with black metal and punk influences as well) until later on in the project. Around the time of making our rd song, we found our other guitarist Chris Crane. Months after finding another piece to Nocturnal Silence, Jose decided to leave the band to concentrate on his main band, Six Million Dead. Therefore, Chris stepped up to take the role as our lead guitarist which started taking the band's genre to a more melodic black/death metal style with hardcore influences. As you can see we are an experimental metal band with a very open mind, with a lot of genre's mixed in, be it black, death, thrash metal, hardcore, punk, etc. We also attract so many different types of crowds under one roof which is what we were aiming for.
