Musician Information
The Cobalt Rhythm Kings -- one of the Northeast's top blues bands -- are steeped in the jazzy jump blues of Louis Jordan, Big Joe Turner and Wynonie Harris; the cool, raging West Coast blues of William Clarke, Rod Piazza and James Harman, and the tough, hard-edged Chicago blues of Muddy Waters, Willie Dixon, Junior Wells and Freddie King, to name a few. The quartet, also available as a six-piece band with horns and a seven-piece with a fabulous female vocalist, can provide everything you need to make your wedding, private party, outdoor concert or corporate event a huge success -- with a high-intensity, no-holds-barred bluesy edge!
Formed in and featuring two Chicago natives on vocals, The Cobalt Rhythm Kings have played everywhere from New York's premier blues club, Chicago B.L.U.E.S., to the New Haven Jazz Festival, where they opened for Son Seals, to Black-Eyed Sally's in Hartford. The band debuted on the national stage on Oct. , at the Arkansas Blues and Heritage Festival -- formerly the King Biscuit Blues Festival -- in Helena, Arkansas. They've opened for the great Johnny Winter at Toad's Place, Connecticut's premier music club, and for blues diva Etta James on the New Haven Green.

Other stops along the way have included many of Connecticut's top clubs, town greens and family festivals, including the New Haven Jazz Festival, the Savin Rock Festival, the Norwalk Harbor Splash and the Milford Fine Arts Council Coffeehouse, plus slots opening for the Fabulous Thunderbirds, Roomful of Blues, Ronnie Earl, Luther "Guitar Junior" Johnson, John Hammond Jr. and Debbie Davies, among others.

Book the 'Kings to perform at your event and see what the buzz is all about!
