1) How do I create my own profile?

If you are looking to book a band, click the ‘book a band’ link or visit:

If you are looking to list as a musician, click the ‘sign up my band’ link or visit:
http://gigleader.com/musiciansignup.php

Fill in your basic information and the system will send you a confirmation email.

2) How do I contact a band or musician?

To contact a musician search by genre, state, or zip code to find the musician you need, or start your search by signing up for an account:

Once you find the right musician, band or dj for your event, you can contact them by filling in information about your event on the bottom of the musician's page. If you are already a gigleader user and have created an event, you can log in to your account and simply add the musician to your event. Once you add a musician to your event, the musician will be notified about your event and will be able to send you a quote/bid if they are available. You can add multiple musicians to the same event and receive multiple bids for the same event.

3) How do I become a Premier member (band/musician)?

You can become a premier member at the end of the signup process or by logging into your account and upgrading. To sign up your band, start here:

4) What does this site do for me?

This site brings musicians together with those looking for the right entertainment solution. GigLeader.com is the best way to match talent with weddings, private parties, bars, clubs or venues. Premier musicians get top placement in all related searches.

5) How do I upload audio/video?

In your account area, you can click on the ‘My Clips’ button, then select the file from your hard drive and click on the submit button.

6) How do I upload music from a CD?

Download or purchase CD ripper software (there are many trial or free programs on the internet) convert your tracks to mp3 or wav files and upload from your hard drive. Follow FAQ #5 once done.

7) How do I add an image?

In your account area, to upload your primary image, click ‘My Profile Image’. To add to your gallery, click ‘My Gallery’ to add to your additional photos. Select a JPEG file from your hard drive and upload it to your account.

8) How much is a premier membership and what do I get?

Monthly membership is available for musicians. Currently, the pricing for a premier membership is $9.95 monthly.

As a Premier member, you improve your chance to be contacted by those searching for entertainment. This level of membership entitles you to:

1. Top Search- Our search results rank musicians by their distance from our customers. Premier members are displayed at the top of our search results ahead of all other results. This drives the most qualified customers to you ahead of the other musicians that meet the criteria.
2. Priority Selection- A number of customers ask our team to book bands and musicians for their events. As a Premier member, you will be included in the recommendations sent to customers in travel preferences.
3. Family Services- When you become a Premier member on Gigleader.com, you get access to other services such as BandMix.com, a musician classified site. You have access to hundreds of thousands of others looking to connect, for free. Get discounts on other services as they come out (coming soon).
4. Unfiltered Messages- Any messages sent to you from user prospects will not be filtered by Gigleader.

9) How can I change my account info?

In your account area, the top left of the page is dedicated to how you are presented or what you are looking for. Make your desired changes using this section.

10) How do I turn off the Auto-Renew?

If you are a premier member and wish to cancel this upgrade, simply log into your account and click the ‘disable auto renew’ button in the ‘billing information’ page.

11) I didn't receive my activation email, what should I do?

Being able to receive email is the most important part of this service. Most email services prevent Spam from reaching you, and at times that service can catch legitimate mail. Check your email account for this and make sure

12) How can I maximize my response on Gigleader?

We encourage you to include all requested information in your profile, and to keep this updated. We do not allow this information in profiles, but do not filter this in sent messages. Be sure to only include information you feel comfortable giving a mere stranger.

Also, be sure to make your profile as good as you can be, as this is your resume for those looking for you. Include genres that fit your abilities, but also make sure you:

1. Upload your best photos. If you do not have any or any good ones, have them taken. Images are very important in projecting your best performance to those looking for the best entertainment.
2. Upload your best audio. If potential customers do not like what they hear on gigleader.com, they will not consider hearing it at their event. If your audio sample is at its best, customers are more likely to contact you.
