| My Name is Shampen, pronounced the same as the sparkling wine. I am a Keyboardist/Vocalist, The proverbial, "One Man Band" My music is so full, that I've been known to intimidate bands. :-) I don't use Karaoke tracks or Music Minus One media, all of my sequences are programmed by me in my 'State Of The Art' studio, MidiCity Sound. When you listen to the audio files on this press kit, this is exactly the way I sound on the job. I specialize in any special event that requires quality music. I have a repertoire of over 1,000 songs that range from the 1920's to the 2000's. From BGM to a full dance party, I am completely self contained, with PA system and all of the equipment needed to do the job. I also partner up with other professional musicians from time to time, so I can offer any number of musicians from myself, to a complete corporate 15 piece Motown review show band. | I am a Santa Barbara-based singer, pianist, and guitarist available to perform for wedding ceremonies, cocktail hour and receptions, parties, anniversaries, bar/bat mitzvahs, corporate events, fundraisers, wine tastings, or any special occasion. Music is my life work and passion. I have loved music all my life and have been performing since I was in my early teens, professionally for the last or so years. As a performer I hold myself and the musicians I work with to the highest professional standards and always put my heart and soul into everything I do.
I sing and play (solo or with other musicians) in a variety of styles from jazz standards (Great American songbook; the repertoire of Tony Bennet, Sinatra, Diana Krall, etc.), as well as more contemporary styles ( 's to the present) from smooth jazz, rock, blues, funk, latin, New Age, reggae, music theatre, country, and traditional and contemporary folk songs including Irish and Spirituals. I also have original music, mostly instrumental. Let me provide the soundtrack to make your wedding , party or other event a lifelong memory. |

Magical Mystery Tour, A Tribute to The Beatles, offers a faithful recreation of the look and sound of The Beatles. We play songs from every stage of their career - from the Mop Tops in the black suits on the Ed Sullivan Show, to the psychedelic Sgt. Pepper period, to the long-haired days of Abbey Road. We play the same instruments made famous by the fab four, and can include up to four costume changes.
Magical Mystery Tour has played casinos, county fairs, private parties and corporate events nationally and internationally. Our band members have also played with cast members of the original broadway show Beatlemania!
Should you wish, we can make it a multi-media experience. We have DVDs to accompany our different costume changes - Black & White footage of screaming girls while we're playing in the black suits; Psychedelic Imagery and "Summer of Love" footage to accompany our Sgt. Pepper set; and the News Events of - to accompany our Abbey Road/Let It Be set. We provide the DVDs; you’d need to provide a DVD player/projector and screen. For an additional fee, we can arrange for an Ed Sullivan impersonator to act as emcee. He’ll introduce us and mingle with your guests.
