| Solo musician, vocal and guitar. Roy has done a very successful "one man show" in Las Vegas for two years. He played bass for Ike and Tina Turner in their early years, and has played for Bonnie Raitt and other nationally known artist since the late 90's.
Roy has a very large musical repertoire, and covers most musical styles. He enjoys playing Easy Listening Music, Ballads, Folk, Folk/Rock, Rockabill, Blues, Old & New Country, DooWops, and Golden Oldies. He can "mix" enough different types of music during his sets to please everyone in the crowd. He has high quality instruments and PA sets that will handle any sized venue, from large halls and outdoor events to parties in private homes. |

Indiana native – makes his home in Indianapolis.
Over 25 years of live performance experience.
2008 - present: solo artist, and lead guitarist/vocalist with The Crawdaddys, central Indiana's most fun party band.
2007 – present: solo artist.
2000 – 2007: guitarist and vocalist with Big Daddy Caddy, a very popular and talented variety band.
1995 – 2000: Wooden Friends, noted for their unique vocal harmonies.
1980 – 1995: solo work, plus several rock, pop, blues, and country bands including Blazon, Rumours, Still Country, and Sundawg.

Personally recorded backing tracks, with Chris’ own harmonies, guitars, bass, and percussion, both sequenced and played live in the studio.

| Here's my official bio:
Mike Thomas is an immensely talented singer-songwriter. He is an evolving musical entity: the music is fresh and continually adds new dimensions. We like to call Mike’s sound new old-school organic soul. From a lifetime of exposure to divergent styles of music, and a bringing together of elements from jazz, country, folk, rhythm & blues and rock, the musically erudite sound of Mike Thomas is textured, multi-layered, and introspective. Over the past two years, Mike has been busy writing and playing all over New York, Michigan and Toronto. As well as playing solo and Mike Thomas Band shows, Mike is the vocalist/ guitarist for the harmony-rich, groove-laden Roundbale Conspiracy. Mike was the lead guitarist/background vocalist/bassist for the high energy horn rock band PBM, and was the bassist/ vocalist for the exuberant rock-trio juggernaut, Head. He also fronted his own band Sam Jones & the Jones Family. Mike is a powerful, soulful artist and performer. His extensive creative input on Roundbale’s CD, As Fresh As It Gets, honed his song writing style (reminiscent of Jeff Buckley but with unmistakable McCartney and Garcia influence). He has drawn raves and standing ovations from audiences across the U.S. and Canada. |
