LIGHTNING HAND is an extremely danceable band that has been entertaining crowds in Sacramento for quite some time. As a broad overview, fans of Blues, Classic Rock, 60's music and bands with vocal harmonies will absolutely love the band. Additionally, fans of Eric Clapton, Allman Brothers, The Grateful Dead, The Band, Rolling Stones, Black Crowes and traditional Blues & Country will enjoy the band. One local music critic has stated, "Every once in awhile Sacramento has a band that breaks the mold of the current dreary music scene. Lightning Hand is that band". We can also play a full night of acoustic material in the style of traditional Blues and Country. Fans of Americana, Bob Dylan, Grateful Dead, Tom Petty, etc. will enjoy this mellower side to the band. We have played private parties, wineries,corporate functions and weddings before.
The band's debut Cd "Almost To Nowhere" has already sparked major interest from labels and critics. It contains 13 originals written by Eric Lazar & Greg Bee. The songs "Somewhere Down The Road" and "You Never Will" have been played on National Public Radio on the Mic Martin Blues Show. Featuring strong lead vocals with tight harmonies backed by an incredibly funky rhythm section, members of 12" REMIX have played on national tours and recordings with many well-known (and some not-so-well-known) artists and continue to do so today. Two of our vocalists also played lead roles in the national touring companies of several Broadway musicals.
No matter the size of your event, we can provide the appropriate musical accompaniment -- from a guitar/vocalist duo to our standard six-piece "Club Crew" to a big band with brass and saxes to our "Premier" ensemble with 7 vocalists, Latin percussionist, brass and full string section. | I am a Santa Barbara-based singer, pianist, and guitarist available to perform for wedding ceremonies, cocktail hour and receptions, parties, anniversaries, bar/bat mitzvahs, corporate events, fundraisers, wine tastings, or any special occasion. Music is my life work and passion. I have loved music all my life and have been performing since I was in my early teens, professionally for the last 20 or so years. As a performer I hold myself and the musicians I work with to the highest professional standards and always put my heart and soul into everything I do.
I sing and play (solo or with other musicians) in a variety of styles from jazz standards (Great American songbook; the repertoire of Tony Bennet, Sinatra, Diana Krall, etc.), as well as more contemporary styles (60's to the present) from smooth jazz, rock, blues, funk, latin, New Age, reggae, music theatre, country, and traditional and contemporary folk songs including Irish and Spirituals. I also have original music, mostly instrumental. Let me provide the soundtrack to make your wedding , party or other event a lifelong memory. |
