The route was started in Feb. in Kenmore NY. Lead singer/guitarist matt hoffman joined up with brian johnson on bass to start a jam/ rock band. Matt wrote several songs of his own since he really wanted to keep the band all original and unique sounding. After going through multiple drummers, christian berry then joined up on drums and the project really started rolling. The Route has taken a much different approach to the Buffalo music scene. We wanted to go with a bar band type sound to get away from alot of the other similar sounds around town. A sound that would appeal to all ages and tastes in music. We try to play something for everyone. Thats why we play sounds similar from Eric Clapton to Lenny Kravitz to Zeppelin. Something DIFFERENT to make ourselves stand out a bit. As of right now, The Route is unsigned but is eagerly looking to move forward. We're scheduled to hit the studio for our demo cd on the nd. Get to one of our shows soon!

"intelligent pop" - That means I write music with an acoustic guitar, add live drums and electronic loops, some ambient swirls then sing pretty melodies with lyrics that mean something.
Once in a while a music group comes around that will push boundaries and take on
the world head-first. The most recent band to do this is Mad Yellow Sun. A blend of
modern rock and a touch of the unknown have shaped their music, while the decadence
of rock and roll has defined their persona. Originally formed in , the group charged
out Buffalo, NY and persisted to re-shape the current music scene. The first years of
national touring were met with sold out performances, awards, steady radio play and
highly viewed music videos.
After a brief line up change, Mad Yellow Sun continues their climb upward and are now
re-located to New York City. Signed with Big Wig Records, a full album and DVD are in
production they are ready to reach the top of the mountain.

A new scientific study has suggested that listening to HorseFace can help prevent cancer (in any form), arthiritus, and parkinson's disease. Listening can also help enhance your metabolism, and even give you better eyesight and a better sense of humor. Studies show that if a man were to listen to HorseFace one hour a day for a month, he would have become % healthier than at the beginning of the month.
We are ruck/funk/jazz/ fusion band. We usually play our originals but we also play a bunch of covers. We have a catchy sound and if I can some it up by the words of our fans it would be "These guys are awesome and they are not going to be playing at local clubs much longer so enjoy thenm while you can before you have to pay $50 for a ticket"
