| The Yanks began rocking Portland with their original music on / , . With a smoking rhythm section consisting of Kevin Feilds on -string bass and Our Good Friend Dallas on the drums, the band was rounded out by Jamie Mehan and David Graham on guitars and vocals.
In , Dan Davis was added and the boys went into the studio to record their first release, "DEEP WOOD", a worthy collection and snapshot of the times, featuring songs written in a bluesy style being played live by the band in local venues.
Due to Professional Differences, The Yanks continued on without Graham and Davis, opting instead for a core -piece that featured sveral guest guitarists including Roy Payne of the band Avalanche, Scott Bauk from The Polecats, and Mark Trees, a shredder from Vancouver
Kenneth Mortellaro, a New York transplant, joined up for his first gig in August, , and has become one through Yanktification.*
At the present time, The Yanks have been playing live and working out the tracks for their next C.D., "Leaving Home."

| The Fabulous BadCats have been playing small clubs in the Portland Metro area since November of . They play a variety of popular American music styles centered around Rock, R&B and Blues. The four piece band features violin, guitar, bass, and drums. Performances by the BadCats include cover songs of well known local and national artists as well as original material from the BadCat song factory. The set list is deep but the group continues to add new material all the time. This keeps the boys amused and their performance fresh and alive.
While primarily a blues band, The Fabulous Badcats can also scratch up various jazz, funk, classic rock, southern rock, country and even original music from the Badcat Song Factory. This makes them the best choice for weddings, outdoor (or indoor) parties, festivals, corporate functions, or any kind of special occasion where a live band would be appropriate. The Band always focuses on making sure that their victims have as much fun (or more) as the Band at every performance. Please feel free to call or come to a show near you and experience it for yourself: |
