We are a five piece band, with an acoustic guitar, electric guitar, harmonica, an upright bass and drums. The sound is a bit different than what we are used to hearing. it's a little groovy with out the jam band overtones. with a wide variety of musicial influences from each member of the band, Old Stone comes together with a unique sound that just about anyone can appreciate.
Traditional folk fiddling including styles of Appalachian old-time, Irish, Scottish, Canadian, and Cajun played solo, in duets, or in band ensembles. Types of tunes include reels, breakdowns, jigs, waltzes, airs, strathspeys, and also ballads and traditional songs.

The Marlinaires are Jack Marlin, daughter Michelle, and son Chris.
Michelle is an accomplished vocalist at home with any genre of music and
with a personality that enamors her to audiences of all types and ages.
Chris is a former Marine who lends his guitar playing skills and hard driving
vocals to the group providing both lead and harmony when needed. Semper Fi!
Jack is a multi-instrumentalist who uses his guitar and banjo playing,
along with some trick fiddling, to lead his family in a great all-around music show.
All three share the MC duties.
