Specializing in Jimmy Buffett style outings, or parties, where tropical is the theme, and the attitudes are laid-back, and happy-go-lucky. All songs presented here are my own originals, and though I am proud of each and every one of them, I know that most people want to hear the songs they're already familiar with by popular artists. But these songs will give you an accurate idea of what I sound and play like in a live setting when doing those more familiar tunes. All songs were recorded several years ago, and even though I've had to let the band go because of moving to another area, I can still use the piano player heard on these recordings if conditions are right. I also have access to an excellent lead guitar player as well.

Comprised of some of the best and most versatile players around, trumpeter/vocalist Bill Averbach brings it home with vintage jazz, blues, swing and jumpin’ jive from the 20’s to the most contemporary. Influenced heavily by artists such as Cab Calloway, Louis Armstrong, Louis Jordan and Louis Prima the band plays that jumpin’ jive so reminiscent of zoot suits and two-tone shoes. And when they play that New Orleans sound you can almost taste the creole and gumbo at Mardi Gras.

A BRIEF HISTORY OF K-G AND THE BAND
K-G and The Band was formed under the leadership of the Lead Vocalist K-G. K-G Originally from East Africa, a US immigrant formed the band under the vision of diversity in Music and Culture; hence the band's sound is so unique that it has its own brand name. They call it "Afro-Urban Music". The band comprises of members from the Caribbean, Europe and Latin America. All this builds a unique sound that is only compared to a combined feel of SADE, Bob Marley, Seal, Dave Mathew's band and Wyclef Jean all in one. Currently doing major shows locally and nationwide.
