We are an all original christian rock band, we love what we do, and it shows through in our live performances. The song "Arise" shows our lighter side and was recorded in Nashville, TN.
RotA is an original, four-piece rock/metal band out of the Dallas / Fort Worth, Texas market. This group uses its driving rhythms, slamming drums, grooving bass lines, and in-your-face vocals with a powerful message to create, and shape, their unique soundscape of music. The band is comprised of local scene veterans who’ve played in the area, regionally, toured elsewhere in the U.S. and even played overseas in Europe.
The band has just completed the mixing/mastering process on their “LIVE” CD recorded at Texas Motor Speedway. The project was recorded/engineered/mixed/mastere by local veteran engineer Bill Johnson the Audio Director at KCM in Ft. Worth, TX. The new live CD should be made available early in 2007.
RotA is currently writing songs for their untitled fourth studio release due out in early 2007. The new full-length CD will contain some of the bands most collaborative work to date. This record will be a bit of departure from their previous works, but the band's trademark sound will still be easily recognizable. They are also booking shows for a tour in support of the new CD.
The group wants to reach a broader audience. So they are redefining themselves musically and lyrically. So the latest CD will reflect those desires. The band also plans to play on some stages that as a group they’ve never played before.
RotA is a musically diverse group. You can hear the band's heavier influences in their music, be it Pantera, Audioslave, King's X, Alice In Chains, Fates Warning, System of a Down, Metallica, Incubus and many more on just about every song. Though the aforementioned groups may not allude to it, the band also has a more melodic and softer side as well. You can hear those other influences such as Queen, Weezer, Dream Theatre and even Def Leppard in other songs.
What really sets the band apart from all the other local/regional bands is their professionalism and their presentation. The songs are great too. This is a band of seasoned veterans who know how to play to a crowd, large or small. There's no venue to large or small for the band or their massive sound.
When it comes to music….it's all been done. Everyone thinks that they're reinventing the wheel, but it's been done. Especially when it comes to metal and hardcore. But every once in awhile….something special comes along. A band will write riffs that you can't stand still to. Write lyrics that provoke your intellect. Make music…that really affects you. That something special is Even the Dogs. Hailing from the Midwest metal melting pot of Tulsa, OK. Even the Dogs is bringing diversity back to music. With elements of metal, hardcore, rock, and alternative, they have a sound that shakes your soul. Even the Dogs was born in early 2006 and began introducing audiences to their pulsating live shows later that year. With a rock drivin sound forge in a deep and rythmic style, StoneWater creates a unique rock feel all their own. With each songs message as a crucial point in their music, this is an album that is drivin from a heart for music and an unmistakable need to tell a story to the listeners.
Ren our lead singer just came back from California were he completed our demo, working with legends like the guitarist louis Carlos (currently playing with Anna Nalick, platnium columbia artist). Tom Hogan on bass also playing with Anna Nalick, and Scott Underwood (Drummer for the legendary "Train"). this album was recorded at Golden track studios with the help of Steve Weatherbee both the studio and Steve are responsible for the first three albums of the mega band P.O.D. we are greatful for them believing in us and taking on this project.
Stonewater recently made the finals for 94.7 the buzz march bandness, where we were the runner ups. and is consistently ranking in the top ten most popular bands in Oklahoma on myspace. There has been a massive explosion of fans and support for StoneWater and we have some big things in the works, stay tuned as each new chapter in stoneWater's carer nfolds.
