West of Chicago is a band performing great songs from the past throughout the Midwest. Our nine-member ensemble, featuring a superb four-piece horn section, offers a tribute to the legendary band Chicago - and much more!
We cover great Motown tunes from artists like Gladys Knight, The Supremes, Stevie Wonder, and many more. On any given night, you can hear us knocking out classic hits like “Mack the Knife,” “These Boots Are Made for Walkin’,” and “Spinning Wheel.” You’ll also hear funk, like The Trampps’ “Disco Inferno,” and early rock hits like “Vehicle” by Chicago’s own Ides of March.
We have assembled some of the finest musical talent in the business, and we all have a passion for the music we’re presenting. If you catch one of our shows, you’ll find yourself dancing, singing along, and enjoying yourself as much as we do!

The five talented members of 'The Fifth Element Band' have been entertaining the community (Chicago Metro., Wisconsin, and Indiana) for twenty years with their fresh, energetic sound. Their varied mix of music, from 40's to current, standards, motown, dance, and international music (including an extensive list of Italian music-new, old, traditional etc) make them a favorite for weddings, dinner dances, corporate events, and outdoor festivals. Three lead vocalists, back up vocals, (4 part harmonies) and the latest equipment, provide the sound of a larger orchestra. In addition, if desired, we can add a another keyboard/Sax player/singer for an even bigger sound, perfect for very large receptions or larger outdoor festivals. The musicians in this band have provided the entertainment at well over 500 weddings and dinner dances, and other formal and semi formal parties.That's not counting their performances at festivals, lounges, etc. With this much experience you can be certain that The Fifth Element Band can suit the mood of any occasion, whether it's black-tux formal, semi formal, or casual.
