Mr. Caterpillar & The Storytellers - Sahuarita, Arizona
The biggest band at our school in the Tucson area was "The Sidewalks", this is where Hamby came from. New-New, Zhang, and Ian had always been good friends with "The Sidewalks". Hamby soon grew tired of "The Sidewalks". New-New then moved (just far enough to go to a different school); and Hamby was not long to move and quit "The Sidewalks". Hamby was soon to realize the problem he was faced with: no one to jam with. He began to think about a band consisting of friends from his new school, but couldn't wait for the next school year to begin, so he began to think of old friends that would be good band mates. Who else could he recruit for Mr. Caterpillar & The Storytellers?
None other than New-New, Zhang, and Ian.
And here we are today writing, recording, jamming, and having a good time.

Take R&B, infuse it with a shot of Funk, add a dash of Hip-Hop, fold in a smidgen of Jazz, and top it with a sprinkle of modern Pop/Rock and you've got 12" REMIX, a six-piece ensemble of seasoned pros based here in Los Angeles. Featuring strong lead vocals with tight harmonies backed by an incredibly funky rhythm section, members of 12" REMIX have played on national tours and recordings with many well-known (and some not-so-well-known) artists and continue to do so today. Two of our vocalists also played lead roles in the national touring companies of several Broadway musicals.

Your party's music will be as intimate, funky, or elegant as you desire.
Our repertoire is extensive and varied. From the Beastie Boys to the Bee Gees, Destiny's Child to David Bowie, Gladys Knight to Garth Brooks, James Brown to John Cougar, Prince to Patsy Cline. No matter what your musical tastes, we will work with you to create custom playlists that suit your event's specific theme or mood.

Limpopo has its origins in Moscow since 1986. This group toured the former Soviet Union performing in some of its more famous theaters. At the peak of Limpopo’s fame there, Yuri & Igor emigrated to the United States with only two of the original cast at his heels. In 1991, Limpopo reformed in the States as a four-member folk and comedy troupe. They were very successful performing for audiences of all ages across Canada and the United States at music and comedy festivals, children’s festivals, clubs, and college campuses. In 1993, they competed on and won the Ed McMahon’s International Star Search band competition. In 1995, they showcased at The National Association for Campus Activities convention in Boston where over 150 colleges signed up to bring the band to their campuses! They were voted by readers of Campus Activities Today magazine as "Best Music Act for 1995". They were nominated for Group of the Year at the 1996 Kerrville Music Awards. They were featured in a long running national TV ad for KIT KAT candy bars which became a tongue-in-cheek anthem for them. L.A.’s number one watched news program, KTLA Morning News, featured a live interview and performance of Limpopo and the Los Angeles Music Center on Tour proudly touts Limpopo as one of their most popular and celebrated artists.
