Each member of the group comes from a dramatically different musical background, which provides a vast array of musical insight and contribution. Each member of the group is classically trained from some of the best jazz schools in the country such as The University of North Texas and The Berklee School of Music in Boston. What makes us compatible is our love for quality, live music, regardless of the situation. Weddings, private parties, jazz clubs, outdoor festivals, rock concerts, bars, and corporate functions; The Chris McGuire Band has done it all. | Nu Groove is a dynamic, high energy live variety and cover
band based in Dallas, Texas. We play a great variety of music including: Jazz and Standards, R&B, Disco, Current Pop and Country, Oldies, Classic Rock, and s- s.
Nu Groove specializes in weddings, private and corporate events. We have a long list of satisfied customers and referrals from Cappella Court, a wedding facility in Dallas, Texas to corporations such as Abbott Laboratories and Miller Brewing Company. Part of our speciality is catering to the clients needs, which includes learning special songs for the clients event, DJing during any band breaks and Emcee services for all special announcements. We also understand the goals of club, venue owners and entertainment directors. The party never stops!
For wedding clients, Nu Groove can also provide musical services for your ceremony such as a vocalist and/or acoustic guitar or piano/keyboardist.

He played with such artists like; Charlie Danniels, Tanya Tucker, Dwight Yokum, The Righteous Brothers, Chicago, BJ Thomas, Gary Morris and more. Johnny has a very large musical repertoire, and covers most musical styles. Johnny was on stage at an early age of / at the Lousiana Hey Ride in Bosier City LA. Many articles have been written about Johnny's compelling style of guitar playing. Some long time fans says it's just like watching him make love to his guitar. He is so passionate about his feel and style of performance and it shows everytime you watch him perform. He has high quality instruments, lights and PA gear that will handle any sized venue, from large halls and outdoor events to parties in private homes and pool side.
