The route was started in Feb. in Kenmore NY. Lead singer/guitarist matt hoffman joined up with brian johnson on bass to start a jam/ rock band. Matt wrote several songs of his own since he really wanted to keep the band all original and unique sounding. After going through multiple drummers, christian berry then joined up on drums and the project really started rolling. The Route has taken a much different approach to the Buffalo music scene. We wanted to go with a bar band type sound to get away from alot of the other similar sounds around town. A sound that would appeal to all ages and tastes in music. We try to play something for everyone. Thats why we play sounds similar from Eric Clapton to Lenny Kravitz to Zeppelin. Something DIFFERENT to make ourselves stand out a bit. As of right now, The Route is unsigned but is eagerly looking to move forward. We're scheduled to hit the studio for our demo cd on the nd. Get to one of our shows soon!

“Clarke's free-flowing compositions showcase plenty of fusion chops, but his rich tone and spaced-filled lines steal the show" ...Gregory Isola, BASS PLAYER MAGAZINE

Karmic Juggernaut began as the nux of four bohemians desperate to curve the direction of current musical standards. By mixing intense melodies with an organic feel, they hope to soon avert the ears of the average listener to their brand of sound, one with feel and flow. By beholding music as a blank canvas of endless possiblilities, they have begun to explore different ways of attaining that goal to capture the chaos of life while taming its qualities. The fusion of psychedelic rock, jazz, blues, funk, latin, classical, and worldbeat makes for a unique blend from the scattered minds that each of the four members has to bring to the table. They ask you to take a listen from an open perspective and hopefully enjoy what you hear.....
