A dynamic group of four young women with a passion for acoustic music. With a sound some have described as “soulgrass”, a mixture of bluegrass, blues, classic country, with a little bit of folk rock.
Paul Blake was born in Newburgh, Indiana on January 26, 1989. He has been around music his whole life. "Marty (Stuart) told my parents when I was 3 or 4, to get me a mandolin because of the small neck. So I got one and played it for a while, then later moved to guitar, drums, bass, and just about anything else I could get my hands on. (laughs) It's just a blast goin' around and playin' with other musicians, because no matter who it is, you always learn something. I have always found something I could use on a song that I wrote or whatever from listening to someone else play. It all helps out!" Paul is currently working on some new songs for his demo. Jenna, Benjamin and K.K. Johnson of Track 45 often tells audiences, "If you listen to us long enough, you'll eventually hear something you like!" They play and sing their own arrangements of Americana music with lots of tight three-part harmonies. These children have a tremendous amount of stage presence/audience appeal. They easily move from a capella spirituals to easygoing traditionals & folk to bluegrass--and they love it all. They started with singing telegrams and weddings (vocal and string/flute ensemble)in MS, but the entertainment directors at Dollywood asked them to sing for a week at their Bluegrass Festival, and they were hooked! They arrange all their own music, giving even old standards their "own" sound, and they've already written and performed some original song
