CHOPPER is a three-piece rock/metal band from Atlanta, GA. George Asimakos sings and plays guitar, Colin Mee sings and plays bass, and LaMar George plays drums. They play a style influenced by classic rock and metal (e.g. Black Sabbath, Blue Oyster Cult, Led Zeppelin, Motorhead, Jimi Hendrix), as well as modern hardcore and metal (e.g. Converge, Mastodon, Entombed, Unsane).
CHOPPER has played The Drunken Unicorn (Atlanta), The Earl (Atlanta), Tasty World (Athens), The Star Bar (Atlanta) as well as many other clubs around town. George played guitar in Blame Game, who did their fair share of touring around the East Coast and Midwest, and were well-known around the Atlanta indie scene. Colin Mee was in Deerhunter, who has done several U.S. and European tours. LaMar has been in a few bands (LUST, DEVASTATOR) that have done several U.S. tours as well.
CHOPPER is ready to tour the southeast and east coast. They plan on going back out on the road now that their full length LP is out.
They have their first inch record out on Die Slaughterhaus Records (the same label that put out The Black Lips' first few releases and some of The Carbonas' records). Their debut full length, Born To Ride… Or Die, has songs that embodies heavy metal and keeps your head banging all the way through! With heavy riffs and lots of melody, this album will keep you listening with its raw power and explosive energy. Born To Ride… Or Die is out now on Darkwolf Records. The vinyl will come out on Die Slaughterhaus Records.
CHOPPER has been playing together for about years. Their Atlanta fan base is growing quickly. Each show has a larger audience than the last. They have shared the stage with Deerhunter, The Black Lips, The Spooks (members of The Black Lips and Deerhunter), American Black Lung, Thank God, Gaye Blades (members of the Black Lips), Dsyrythmia and The Coathangers, to name a few. |

| The colors of K.O.A. are an unidentifiable sort. They are always ready for a challenge and a show to prove they are worthy. They bring a certain contour shaping their identified sound. With vocal patterns and ambient styles of guitar chords from Joe Cramer and Shawn Tucker playing an enchanting indie rock style on the bass and Jonah Colson's alternative/metal upbringing pushes this trio into a new spetrum, one that can be felt when just meeting the three together.
Although these three members apart have separate taste, as a unit something remarkable happens. It's just a spark that whirls all of this music out. You can feel this energy while watching. It makes up the lives, the melody, and the love; which is Keys of Apollo. |

| We've just got back from touring the U.S. where along the way we recieved this review:
"Dancing Medicine Men are a daring three piece explosion of psychedelic dark dancing folk rock, pulling their live listeners in with addictive pulsating drum jams, and blues ridden sexually charged war chants declaring an ongoing battle with logic, reason and anyone who stands in the way of love and art.
These boys drag their audience to an enchanting dark mythological moon, wooing them through trance to wander the landscape right behind these apocalyptic pied-pipers.
Between the fast paced whimsically arousing and often times tribal percussion, the bravely absurd experimental blaring lead guitar, and the sensual growls, trance induced howls, and passionate, hurtful harmonies of the vocals ranging from blues hollers to Native American Chants, at times reminiscent of Tom Waits, Captain Beefheart, Bonnie "Prince" Billy and Devendra Banhart, listeners find themselves dancing fearlessly to some ancient animalistic sexual deja-vu.
The Dancing Medicine Men invite you to transform your body and your mind and howl away with them, at her majesty the eternal full Moon hanging heavy and seductive over us all calling for our most absurd and artful, our fearless and informal, our love in all of its faces and our pain in its many manifestations. They want you to except the expressive animal. All you have to do is listen and give yourself to yourself."
