This was our first album and this being a learning process, there are some things we may have done differently and some things we are pretty proud of. For a band (in its current formation) that has only been together for a short time, actually putting out an album was a huge step. There is often a misconception on what it takes to be a successful band. Getting together to create and play music is the easiest part. You’re doing what you love. When you have musicians as talented as we do, you often come up with some great stuff. The difficult parts are battling addictions, egos, incarcerations, girl problems, low times, slow times, over looking the general negative bull shit and just trying to stay together.
That being said, after all the struggles, this is our Album Lessons. "If they were easy they'd be forgotten." We were on a limited budget so we couldn't really waste time in the studio recording every song. Instead, we decided to choose songs which would highlight all of our influences. The result was an album with a mixture of styles including Rock, Reggae, Drum & Bass, Funk, Acid Jazz, Ska, Punk, Hip Hop, Go-Go, Jungle, Trip Hop and probably some other stuff. We felt each song gives a glimpse of us as a group. That’s the Big Hurt. 6 different individuals with many different personalities that have remained together long enough to put out an album. Only the future can tell what's next...........
Thanks for your love and support:

And BY REQUEST - Joe Anthony performs as a Solo Keyboardist and Vocalist for smaller venues.
_____In terms of career…Joe Anthony and ”Los Dos” , initially began as a duo, and was formed over three years ago, in 2003, when Joe Anthony DeLuccie returned to the east coast after spending over a decade in the northwest. Originally from the mold of the Chuck Mangione Quartet including a permanent female lead. After the motivating force of some limited radio success on the Delmarva Peninsula, Joe Anthony began writing power ballads, and up-tempo Latin-fusion pop. It is a group of professional musicians who under Joe Anthony’s direction are fashioned mainly by original works of an RnR, Jazz/Latin-fusion and easy listening mix, who play memorable covers from the 70s through the 2000's by request. Their music has been proliferated by two successful recording professionals, Joe Anthony "DeLuccie" and long-time associate, the groups primary percussionist Wayne Webster “Web", since each had a tenure together in two local Washington, D.C. area cover groups - Funktion and Flight 9 of BRA.
_____Wayne Webster “Web” began his formal musical career at the age of ten. He achieved All State recognition for three years of high school from grades 10-12, and then pursued his formal musical education at the world renowned Peabody Institute of the Johns Hopkins University, graduating with his BA in percussion in 1971. Wayne auditioned and was accepted with the honor to perform in the President’s Own United States Marine Band, resulting in 26 years of service to the White House and working for several Presidents’ of "The United States of America". He has continued to perform steadily, and his career has blossomed since 1997, having played as a studio and pickup percussionist with local area cover bands through today.
Wayne has continued to increase his musical education and obtained a Master’s Degree from the Catholic University of America in 1975, and is now pursuing a Doctorate through the Peabody Institute in Baltimore. Over his career, Wayne has studied with the late Alan Dawson from the Berkeley School of Music, and other regional professionals, and has been employed, as the Principal Percussionist, with the Pensacola Symphony Orchestra from 1997-2000, “The longest standing symphony in the United States”. Over the years, he has had the pleasure of playing with musical giants like Plaz Johnson, tenor saxophonist of the “Pink Panther Fame”, and John Colianni, a well-known jazz and classical pianist from New York City and has also been recorded with Joe Lewis, a singer-soloist from Mobile, Alabama, on his “A Blossom Fell” CD titled release.
_____Joe Anthony "DeLuccie" began his career at the age of seven and it encompasses virtually every arena of music, including performing, writing, composing, arranging and producing. A traditionally trained “classical musician”, by the late Lloyd Geisler and Dick Smith (National Symphony), in addition to Emerson Head, PhD., of the University of Maryland. He has worked in almost every music genre from jazz to country. He is the primary songwriter for the group and his roots are in the Washington-Baltimore area, where music was an integral part of his life. By the age of eight, he was a budding cornet player, performing the Star Spangled Banner for local sporting events. At the age of ten, he was playing in the Laurel High School band, composing on his families Hammond organ, and then successfully auditioned for the Washington Redskins Pep Band; performed in the Maryland All-State Symphony for two years as a 1st trumpeter; while he also performed locally in the Washington D.C. Police Concert Band (directed by 1st flutist in the U.S. Marine Corp Band, the late Col. Leon Brusseloff).
At the age of 16, he started playing professionally with several local area cover bands (The Condors, Funktion, Flight 9, and Aspen), and at the age of 21 met the groups primary percussionist, Wayne Webster, who was having a successful career with the President’s Own U.S. Marine Band in Washington D.C. Over the years, Joe Anthony has also worked professionally in two of the area’s most regionally recognized cover groups (Springfield), under past contracts to the Washington Talent Agency; and with Fancy Colours, managed by singer-soloist Cecilia Dee (Tommy Dorsey Big Band) of the late Barry Rick and Associates talent agency (Maryland). He also now plays regularly in the Northwest, as a pickup flugelhornist for a Portland Jazz Orchestra, under the direction and leadership of regionally known trombonist, Glenn Taylor.
Joe Anthony is the driving force behind the group, also referred to as "Los Dos ETC"; and, he performs with a local trio “DBK Athena”; while continuing to book "The Joe Anthony Quintet" under contract to KDMI Music of Delaware, as "The Renegades (tm)" and "The Street Closed Band (tm)". Both bands are licensed under the Repco Records (c) label. He has performed in front groups for national touring and recording artists such as Eddie Money (70's), the late Robert Palmer (80's), and with the singer-soloist Harry Allen (late-90's) from Kool and The Gang. As a songwriter, composer and producer, he has recently produced another CD pre-release, entitled “Straight For The Heart”, performed by another regionally-built, modern RnR band, fashioned after the gritty style of “Heart. Three of the CD's compositions have received local radio success on the peninsula. Maybe you too have heard…”Love To Last A Lifetime”, “Last Night (That Girl)”, and “A Man Ain't Suppose To Cry (Desperate Times)”. If not, they are ON SALE at all of his performances, where they can be yours too!
_____Joe Anthony and Los Dos (tm) with the regional recording artist, Nick Barker "The Music Man" are again proving by their music - their dance, variety, and original compositions, that they can make a “lasting impression on you". Look for them, or book them this season at your favorite venue, or resort on the east coast. You’ll be glad you did.....!
