| OHIO'S PREMIER AC/DC TRIBUTE BAND THUNDERSTRUCK consists of of Ohios top musicians with over years combined experience. Playing hundreds of shows a year is nothing new for these men. Vocalist Scotty Stinger Stenglein is a larger than life front man that can work a crowd into a frenzy. His energy and searing vocals make him a perfect choice for Thunderstruck. Scott has gigged with Wicked Lester, Fat Angus and toured with Hells Bells. Guitarists Steve and Jimmy Papes are true brothers just like Angus and Malcolm Young. Steves tight heavy rhythms back his brother Jimmys unbelievable leads. There is no duo like these guys anywhere. They both formerly gigged with BonFire. Bassist Karl Phillips is a rock. His machine like playing is his forte`. Karl has played in many area bands including Wicked Lester. Drummer Mideo Octavio is the anchor that holds this band down. His stadium sized beats and precise timing is awesome. Mideo has gigged with Wicked Lester, South, JP Country and has toured with Clint Black. There are many AC/DC tribute acts across the country, but there is no one that has the looks and sounds of AC/DC like Thunderstruck. This band is RADICAL! | Were a high school band that plays great songs from the s and funky stuff. We love nirvana and we probly know about or nirvana songs. were learning some rage against the machine and Jimi hendrix right now and throw in some korn once in a while.We have a recording of blind from korn, lacquer head from primus, and killing in the name of by rage against the machines. One day at practice the bass player didnt show up and we were foolin around so we recorded us play this riff i made up and the chorus to killing in the name of and it sounds pretty good. Were a band likes to play at parties, private parties, battle of the bands shows, talent shows or just what ever we get offerd to. |

| In the summer of , from the ashes of a government nuclear wasteland, a cesspool of religious bias, poverty, drugs, and an uncaring upper-class, a dying breed of our youth formed a sonic message for the higher powers of this world, "we wont be held down and ignored". Citizen was born.
Citizen is a motto for anyone who is pissed off about the fact that the government can expect you to go die for your country at the age of , but still not completely acknowledge us as adults. The government is a shroud worn by the American people. We are the dying breed of young people who still give a fuck about what direction that this world is going in. we didnt back down, we wont dance unless it is with an instrument and a prominent middle finger in the air for anyone who tells us to give up and get a real life.
Citizen hails from Marion, Ohio. A small mid-western town of , . It originally gained fame when a resident named Warren G. Harding gained the presidency of the united states of America, a man who would later be known as one of the most scandalous presidents in U.S. history. Marion also gained a reputation in the s as a huge drug town when the mob frequented it. It would be known as "Little Chicago" for these reasons.
During World War II, army bases were built in Marion that would house toxic, nuclear materials that would be dumped, burned and buried in the surrounding fields of Marion. River Valley High School, where of the members of Citizen went to school , would later be built on one of these fields. During their duration in high school many tests were run on the soil that the high school sat on by the Army Corps of Engineers dressed in full body radiation suits. After these members graduated, these tests would prove that cancer causing agents were prevalent enough to close down the school and use a majority of government money to relocate to an entirely new location. Major national news broadcasters like CNN, ABC, and CBS covered the story.
This inspired us to look more in depth into the problems that our country faces and what we can do as our countrys future to change it. For us giving up and letting authority hold us down because we are young isnt an option. So we took our love of music and talent and created a way to speak our minds. Perseverance is our only option and we will do so until the day we die. |
