When it comes to music….it's all been done. Everyone thinks that they're reinventing the wheel, but it's been done. Especially when it comes to metal and hardcore. But every once in awhile….something special comes along. A band will write riffs that you can't stand still to. Write lyrics that provoke your intellect. Make music…that really affects you. That something special is Even the Dogs. Hailing from the Midwest metal melting pot of Tulsa, OK. Even the Dogs is bringing diversity back to music. With elements of metal, hardcore, rock, and alternative, they have a sound that shakes your soul. Searing guitar riffs, thundering drums and bass, and intense vocals, combined with a heart stopping live show….Even the Dogs is the total package. Even the Dogs was born in early and began introducing audiences to their pulsating live shows later that year. Their followers, and there are many of them in the Tulsa area and all over the country, slowly began to realize just how sharp, tight and devastating the band was becoming with each performance. Just listen to the chatter at a live Even the Dogs show.
Seduction, obsession, lust and gratification can be summed up with one word "Siva". Native to Oklahoma City, OK the fearsome foursome of Siva command attention and spawn veneration.
Pounding drums and driving bass lines lay the foundation for intricately infectious guitar riffs. Complemented by wickedly dark lyrics, the resonating tones bond with Siva fans, addicting them from the first moment.
Siva draws influence from rock and metal greats such as Megadeth, Metallica, Black Label Society and Velvet Revolver, but also early s alternative grunge such as Alice in Chains and Soundgarden. The diverse backgrounds of its members make Siva's sound definitely something to remember.
As Siva shows increase in number, so do the fans. From to local clubs and festivals, Siva is quickly finding its way to everyone's lips. With the highly anticipated release of the debut EP quickly approaching, the fixation is growing; making it clear the Siva craving isn't easily satisfied.
Hailing from the gutters of Norman, Oklahoma; the wastelands of country & football gave birth to a breed of metalheads who refuse to sit back & let 'alternative' forms of music take over the spotlight that only heavy metal truly deserves.
Enter AMERICAN GLAMSTAND; a tribute & a lifestyle of the decadent metal heyday with all the sleaze, glitter, trash & filth that goes with it. AG's members have all played heavy metal religiously for over years & literally DO still live by the timeless grooves of Shout At The Devil, Love Gun & The Last Command. Subtlety be damned; AG's presentation is in your face, raw & has dirt under its fingernails. A rose by any other name, true rock & roll-is not pretty, but it is a party unlike anything many fans of modern music have yet to witness first-hand. Remember when you went to a concert to escape your problems instead of paying to hear some guy in a sweater whine about how miserable life is? Remember when there was a bit of danger & unpredictability when you went to a rock show? The Rock Show is what AG is all about, baby. Paying tribute to the seediest variety, their image leaves no question to the intent.
Quite simply, American Glam Stand is the ultimate glam party band, covering selections from Poison, Ratt, Motley Crue, Dokken, AC/DC, Cinderella, KISS & even Wednesday , with an excessive attitude & several degrees in debauchery that only a true American band could possess.
So if you Love It Loud & miss the days of leather, hair spray, make-up & screaming guitars, AG is here for you. On a crusade to bring fun back to rock. In a time where cover bands have become complacent & predictable, AG has arrived to give people entertainment value once more.

Raw, abrasive, and hard-hitting... although not fitting in well with the rural surroundings and countrified music tastes that encompass the area, Paleface surfaced a huge metal sound--delivered straight from the heart of North Texas. Known NOT to follow what is in style or popular Paleface, makes heavy music for the masses, Combining the fusion of choppy, heavy riffs and beats with a hint of death metal, Paleface hold their own and hold it well, Only being together for two years Paleface have achieved alot through struggle and perseverance. In their short existence Paleface have shared the stage with great bands such as Bobaflex, Five Bolt Main, Flyleaf and Devildriver just to name a few. Paleface will be releasing their first full length CD "Thinning the Herd" in early or late 2007.
THE MISSION: POISON CHERRY is dedicated to taking the audience on the Ultimate 80’s Hair Metal Experience. A brief look at some of the bands they’ve played with (STYX, Loverboy, Bad Company, Vertical Horizon, Faster Pussycat and Tone Loc) will prove they mean business and are professional. While one look at the band itself will prove they are not run of the mill.
RotA is an original, four-piece rock/metal band out of the Dallas / Fort Worth, Texas market. This group uses its driving rhythms, slamming drums, grooving bass lines, and in-your-face vocals with a powerful message to create, and shape, their unique soundscape of music. The band is comprised of local scene veterans who’ve played in the area, regionally, toured elsewhere in the U.S. and even played overseas in Europe.
The band has just completed the mixing/mastering process on their “LIVE” CD recorded at Texas Motor Speedway. The project was recorded/engineered/mixed/mastere by local veteran engineer Bill Johnson the Audio Director at KCM in Ft. Worth, TX. The new live CD should be made available early in 2007.
RotA is currently writing songs for their untitled fourth studio release due out in early 2007. The new full-length CD will contain some of the bands most collaborative work to date. This record will be a bit of departure from their previous works, but the band's trademark sound will still be easily recognizable. They are also booking shows for a tour in support of the new CD.
The group wants to reach a broader audience. So they are redefining themselves musically and lyrically. So the latest CD will reflect those desires. The band also plans to play on some stages that as a group they’ve never played before.
RotA is a musically diverse group. You can hear the band's heavier influences in their music, be it Pantera, Audioslave, King's X, Alice In Chains, Fates Warning, System of a Down, Metallica, Incubus and many more on just about every song. Though the aforementioned groups may not allude to it, the band also has a more melodic and softer side as well. You can hear those other influences such as Queen, Weezer, Dream Theatre and even Def Leppard in other songs.
What really sets the band apart from all the other local/regional bands is their professionalism and their presentation. The songs are great too. This is a band of seasoned veterans who know how to play to a crowd, large or small. There's no venue to large or small for the band or their massive sound.
Standing out in the crowd, we are the ones next to you that were never seen. We remained the reserve, those who choose to lack in vocal contribution to the majority, but never miss a single beat of the world and its cold effect, building candid emotion. Our silent, expressive nature never realized, but christened our outside message even more. Our words spoken, few and far between, were never heard, drifting away like a thin smoke captured by the wind.
Now, on this stage, we release this energy, with built pressure from years of listening... years of watching... years of transcribing feelings into screaming syllables of rage. Now, its time for you to listen to how this God given life is anything but perfect - yet, is at the same time.
You have to hear us.
You want to hear us.
You will hear us.
We are Withheld.
-----------------------------------
For those that thirst for musical expression, the need for it stands out above all things. These were the feelings of Chris Shumate and Noah Labhart as they followed their separate paths toward the same goal. Chris started playing bass guitar at age 16, and Noah started playing guitar at age 14. Both self taught, the musicians thrived on expression and writing music from the soul, rather than conforming to societal standard. Once the two met, they began experimenting with several projects, trying to fill the musical void that was for so long. Influenced by the sounds of Sevendust, Breaking Benjamin and Atreyu, the two began formulating ideas to create the perfect sound. But who would be the front man? Or would it be a man? Shelby Standley, long time friend of Noah’s, had been singing since she was 10 years old. The unmistakable consistency of her voice led Chris and Noah to consider a female vocalist. Once Shelby joined the band, her enthusiasm and hidden desire for self expression became an asset to the bands musical composition. Here, the band began exploring other influences, such as Flyleaf, Evanescence and Lacuna Coil. But the group felt that the music was still missing pieces. So they moved forward, and started considering rhythm guitar players. Jeremy Caywood had previously played bass in a band with Noah, and had taught himself to play guitar and drums. His steady, driving riffs removed this responsibility from Noah, allowing him to focus on lead guitar. After many nights of late dinners and rigorous sessions, each member agreed that it was crucial to find a drummer. The band allowed a few people to try and mesh with the groups sound and dedication. However, none of them fit the bill. Steven Summers had not only played drums in several bands, but was a childhood friend of Chris. Coming from a metal background, Steven provided the band with thrashing beats and momentum needed to reach their goal. At the conclusion of the bands second practice with Steven, they had already recorded a 4 track live demo. With this type of progress and questions from inquiring fans, the group figured it was time to choose a band name. Long discussions led to the group’s decision to go with Noah’s suggestion of the name “Withheld”. Each band member can recall time periods in their life where they have stood by and watched, observing their world evolve around them without contributing an opinion.
But they are withheld no more…
Terror Tractor was formed in September 2003. It is rumored that they were begat of Satan's own rusty exhaust pipe. Combining the skills of the best local heavy acts, Terror Tractor set about sowing the seeds of chaos. Within one year, Terror Tractor recorded a self titled album in 2004 to spray the masses with metal goo. If you like metal, then you will love Terror Tractor. If not, I have no idea why you would have even read this.
