Novena was formed from the ashes of the band Evendeeper. Blending multiple genres, it is hard for one to define the sound of the band. Evendeeper was formed in late when two childhood friends Brad Hensley and Seth Robertson decided to get together (after previously playing in several situations together) and work on recording some electronic influenced music with two guitars, two drum machines, and a four track. Within a few short months they had added Sam Hawkins on drums and Will Smith on bass. As Evendeeper, the band was featured on local radio shows on stations such as . , . , . , . and TTU's . . One of the highlight's of the bands' live performances came when they got to perform at . 's BUZZFEST . The band was thrilled to be able to perform alongside such diverse acts as Sevendust, Tricky, Ben Folds, Custom, Mesh, Doors Down, Nickel Back and several other up and coming bands. Several shows later, and a lineup change (Sam at this point decided to front his other band, SoulSkin) band enlisted the help of musical prodigy Tony Bradford. Tony brought an energetic, caterwauling style to the band's sound. The new incarnation of the band debuted as Novena on Halloween of . While still playing several Evendeeper songs, the band has taken a bit of a stylistic departure with some of their new material. Regardless of the genre-jumping the band displays, there is always cohesiveness to the overall product, and there are sure to be a few curves along the way. We're playing Fuse TVs’ Bodog's battle of the Bands!!!!! At The Rutledge, Dec. in Nashville. Round ! With a chance to win , , dollars! We have to make through a couple of rounds. Nashvegas is a group of well known players in Nashville. Jason Witt(keys and vocals) has toured years with EXIle. They have had # hits . He has also played for Eric Heatherly and Steve Holy. Eric Hamilton(vocals and acoustic) was signed to Curb records. Brandon Witt has played for Dixie Chicks , Billy Currington , Jason Aldean,Ty Herndon and more. Kevin Mcbride has also toured playing percussion.
