The five of us have been playing music together for the past year, since our drummer Greg DeRossett joined the band. Nathan Bowling and David Fogle, both rhythm guitarists, have been playing music together for the past years. Doug Harris was reunited with Nathan and David, playing lead for The Kentucky Backroads Band in . The three of them played in a band together back in . Last but not least, bass player Bernard Stallard joined up in . We are not your traditional band, we play many different genres of music, from country to rock and a little in between.

Harvey Fuqua of Motown Hitsville, U.S.A owned a record label, Anna Records and Harvey’s label’s artist Johnny Bristol, brought a band to Harvey's attention: “Jr. Walker and The All Stars” with Tony Washington on drums, Autrey DeWalt (aka) Jr. Walker on sax and vocals, Victor Thomas on keyboards and Willie Woods on guitar.
Harvey Fuqua signed the band to his label in 1963; he closed his label and Harvey Fuqua brought his artists including the band with him to Motown Records. They started recording in 1964. Harvey became a songwriter and executive at Motown.
The 90's sadly brought the untimely death of Autrey DeWalt (aka) Jr. Walker and Willie Woods. Since then, Victor Thomas and Tony Washington have united with Kenny Walker on sax and Acklee King on percussion.
Throughout the 48 years of making music this band has worked side by side with Harvey Fuqua and in 2002 was inducted into The Grammy Hall of Fame.

For a moment, close your eyes. As you listen to Hypothetical, take in the words, the feeling, and the intention of the song. It's a relevant song and many different people with many different experiences can pull from the lyrics and relate in some way or another. On the same level, it is discriptive enough to paint a visual image in your head and create (or recreate) some experience you have had or currently experiencing. The ending resolves, both musically and lryically to evoke a sense of hope and strength that was absent before. I am unbreakable. That is the power of music.
Music is the Universal Language. It breaks all barriers, unites people, and for those who write, record, and perform it, it is an outlet of creativity and soul. Music takes time, and we take that time so that the final product is something that we are satisfied with and proud of. Room236 is about the music- and we hope that as you listen to what we have recorded, that somehow, on some level, it means something to you. After all, isn't that what its supposed to be about?

Rest assured that no matter what size or type of venue you see us perform in, we always give an audience our best.
We are open for booking and we are interested in any geographical location. At the very least, we always use sound clips to transition from song to song, making for an almost theatrical effect. Also, we always decorate the stage (per approval thru the appropriate channels) with fabrics & candles. We are also able to be a supporting act for another band you have perfoming at your venue. “It’s getting hot in here!” words by recording artist Nelly describe the new R& B group, BLAAZ (pronounced blaze). Yes, the R&B world has reached a new record temperature with, recording artist, BLAAZ. This is the hottest R&B group to come out of North Carolina in decades.
The quartet members are Kanem Dupree (aka Kane), Emanuel (aka E-6), Rico McCoy (aka Showtyme), and Perry Moore (aka Prime).
Where there is smoke there is fire…as they say. Just like the first sign of a blaze is the smoke; the first sign of Blaaz is the predominant lead singer, Rico. Like Smokey Robinson or Marvin Gaye, Rico is one of the smoothest crooners since the 60’s.
The heat of a fire is controlled by the intensity or redness of the ambers/coals. The heat of Blaaz is Emanuel. Emanuel brings style, charisma, and sexy vocals to the group.
Oh! The sizzle and crackle of a fire is a sound that is unique to every blaze. Perry is that unique sound of Blaaz. Perry’s voice is tantalizing, striking, and without failure.
Kanem, rounds out the group like a flame does for a fire. Kanem’s vocals tie all the sounds of Blaaz together. His vocals are smooth yet rough, melodic yet chaotic, and sensual yet intimidating.
BLAAZ started igniting North Carolina about 8 years ago.
