| THE NEW ALBUM
"STILL PROFOUND" in stores October , !
With an all-time rise in the youth homicide rate and troubled youth, meet the resolution Profound Intent; a co-ed quintet from Washington, D.C. formed by Rapper-Songwriter LaPret who is one of the groups only three remaining original members. The group delivers a positive influence on youth in an effort to empower youth to be better individuals which is just what they do on their debut EP “Still Profound” due in stores October , .
Devan “Ace” Brockenberry and Kie’Arra “Mizz Redz” Pretlow are the other two original members of the group, and now after a brief hiatus the group returns with some much needed weight; two new members.
Shanice “Nee-Cee” Cooper replaces the groups former lead vocalist; and Russell “Rakiem” Tolson joins the lineup. The group originally a quartette vows to prove that they’re “Still Profound” after ’s “Play the Field”. The single and other media controversy established the group; with LaPret as the frontman.
With the recent changes in the groups’ membership comes a much more solid sound. The new phase of the group much like the original still has its uniqueness, but expresses more determination this time around. This is not much of a surprise being that on their debut single release “Play the Field” the group spoke about regaining control of ones life. The Debut EP “Still Profound” touches on what to do once you take control of your life after what may have been a devastating time in your life.
The title-track which appropriately is the EP’s lead-single gives the group security, displaying an unbreakable bound between the five members. The catchy hook line from “Still Profound” says “it don’t matter who in this, yo we still profound”; symbolizing that despite the changes they’re still the group North America felled in love with a year ago. A single like this makes the perfect comeback for those who know the group and those just getting to know the group; industry critics predict that the EP will be the groups breakthrough release.

| This was our first album and this being a learning process, there are some things we may have done differently and some things we are pretty proud of. For a band (in its current formation) that has only been together for a short time, actually putting out an album was a huge step. There is often a misconception on what it takes to be a successful band. Getting together to create and play music is the easiest part. You’re doing what you love. When you have musicians as talented as we do, you often come up with some great stuff. The difficult parts are battling addictions, egos, incarcerations, girl problems, low times, slow times, over looking the general negative bull shit and just trying to stay together.
That being said, after all the struggles, this is our Album Lessons. "If they were easy they'd be forgotten." We were on a limited budget so we couldn't really waste time in the studio recording every song. Instead, we decided to choose songs which would highlight all of our influences. The result was an album with a mixture of styles including Rock, Reggae, Drum & Bass, Funk, Acid Jazz, Ska, Punk, Hip Hop, Go-Go, Jungle, Trip Hop and probably some other stuff. We felt each song gives a glimpse of us as a group. That’s the Big Hurt. different individuals with many different personalities that have remained together long enough to put out an album. Only the future can tell what's next...........

With honest and heartfelt lyrics and smooth melodies, these boys are very passionate about their music and want to reach out to everyone, and anyone.
A diary is a book of memories that captures events that occur in a persons life. When a diary is dated, a new story, chapter, secret, etc. is captured. So simply, we are writing our story and everyone is a part of it.
