The Singer--
“Power and passion” are words that have been used to describe Maureen Kelly’s voice and music. Maureen blends life experience with her Soul/Blues/Rock leanings to create her own Alternative sound.
Maureen was drawn to recording artists who could really get into the music including Aretha Franklin, Joe Cocker and Janice Joplin.--
Maureen has performed all over the US and much of the world, including performances at The Sahara Tahoe, The Portland Rose Festival and The Amnesty International Poetry of Witness Concert.---
While living and performing in LA Maureen’s singing and songwriting ability caught the attention of songwriter Bert Carroll, producer/director Steve Binder and harmonica
player Lee Oskar who encouraged and helped her to record her own music.---
The combination of Maureen Kelly’s lyrics, melodies and vocal performance is truly remarkable. When she sings people listen. Joe Puleo of WIDR radio said “...Never heard of her before, but I know I’ll never forget her now.”----
The Songwriter--
Maureen is a published, BMI affiliated, singer-songwriter. Her album, “Pendulum Dream”, which included of her songs, was on the ballot for a GRAMMY award.--
She has had her songs published by Yellow Rose of Texas Publishing Company, Tip Music and Rio Hard Luck Music and have been offered publishing contracts by Baby Huey Music and Big Wedge Music.
Below are a few reviews of Maureen’s music.--
"She first of all meets my weaknesses, a great voice and heartfelt lyrics, melodic songs, …She has that rare talent as a storyteller with the musical ability to transmit her feeling and story in song…and being true to her heart, shines pure, mature, and perfect."
Jack Sutton, Harmony Ridge Music--
“Maureen’s songs are great”
Steve Binder, TV, Film and Emmy Awards Producer/Director--
“Good songs—good music/lyric—great voice. This will get air play on KBOO.”-- KBOO, Portland , OR
“We like this! Could you send more copies please?”
Tom Schuabel, Music Director, KCRW, Santa Monica, CA--
“Music content was classy and bright. Enjoyed it very much.” Jon Kettering, Music Director, KMHD, Portland, OR---------------------------

| "Every song we write about is about hope, whether it's about hoping to get the girl back, being in a better place, or not being spiteful or cynical. Veering away from the dark and into the light."
VEER was formed in late by Crispin and guitarist Eric Schraeder. Originally from Port Alberni, BC, the two longtime friends surprisingly found themselves living as neighbors: "we knew each other previously because we had played in bands together. We were both living out of our rehearsal studios in downtown East Vancouver," recalls Crispin.
At the time Crispin was the front man of Everything After, where creative differences led to his departure. While the remaining members of Everything After regrouped under the name Hedley, Crispin was gaining attention as a songwriter with credits on Motley Crue's drummer Tommy Lee's solo CD Tommyland: The Ride. Eric, who had recently relocated back to Vancouver after a stint in Los Angeles with Foot Echo (Hollywood Records), was working on projects of his own. Next drummer Beni was brought into the fold who has established himself as one of the top drummers in the city. Finally Roots, and Fid who play bass and guitars respectively came on board to round out VEER's lineup.
Much of VEER's music is a reflection of their life experiences. "Wish You Well" and "Sold Me Out" clearly demonstrate a positive message while showcasing their skills as songwriters. "Wish You Well" is about the area we're living in," explains Crispin, "looking at people who can't turn their lives around. No matter how rough a time we're facing, our life isn't that bad. The only thing we can do for them is to wish them well."
VEER recently finished their debut full length CD with producer Dean Maher (Trapt, Atreyu, Rise Against) at Green House Studios in Vancouver, BC. |

| The Yanks began rocking Portland with their original music on / , . With a smoking rhythm section consisting of Kevin Feilds on -string bass and Our Good Friend Dallas on the drums, the band was rounded out by Jamie Mehan and David Graham on guitars and vocals.
In , Dan Davis was added and the boys went into the studio to record their first release, "DEEP WOOD", a worthy collection and snapshot of the times, featuring songs written in a bluesy style being played live by the band in local venues.
Due to Professional Differences, The Yanks continued on without Graham and Davis, opting instead for a core -piece that featured sveral guest guitarists including Roy Payne of the band Avalanche, Scott Bauk from The Polecats, and Mark Trees, a shredder from Vancouver
Kenneth Mortellaro, a New York transplant, joined up for his first gig in August, , and has become one through Yanktification.*
At the present time, The Yanks have been playing live and working out the tracks for their next C.D., "Leaving Home."
