Native American Lakota Sioux Rock Band from the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation, featuring powerful guitar, Alto Saxaphone, Keyboards, and Powerful Lead vocals compared to Joe Cocker, John Lennon, Jim Morrison, Springsteen,
Arrow Space beginning as a three piece group on a cold winter day in the Pine Ridge City,SD 1986.
Jimmy Rodriguez, lead guitar, vocals back-up vocals,..and Timmy Mesteth, on drums. (Timmy Mesteth incidently is the one who named the band "Arrow Space" after viewing a very old RKI song titled "Arrow Space Technolgy") With RKI on the bass guitar and singing lead.
*******RKI was questioned in an interview with Blue Danube radio in Vienna, Austria about perhaps the name was a copy of Aero Smith a famous Hall of Fame Rock Band. RKI corrected the radio host by noting Arrow is not the same as Aero, Arrow being a projectile used by Native Americans even Robin Hood to hunt. Aero describing modern flight technology. RKI described Space as the beautiful heavens, the sky "Mahpiya" in the Lakota language something very sacred "Wakan" something vast and endless. And Smith in his view being the name of a whiteman, caucasion "Wasicu" or slave taker something not being "wakan" perhaps a man of trade, carpenter, blacksmith, etc. RKI denied the intent to copy such a name Aero Smith, but acknowledged his respect for the famous Rock group.*******
After a personal emergency on the first gig Jimmy Rod had to leave town, but the spirits covered for us by bringing in Jimmy John Wilson on lead guitar and vocals. The gig was on in the Black Hills and Arrow Space was victorious on the first gig.
A few gigs later Timmy had to leave town,..Donnie Mesteth fell in on a moments notice, again safe on a prayer.
RKI felt something missing because he could not play saxaphone on the bass guitar, so Darryl Fast Horse showed up and RKI jumped on the keyboards where singing, playing sax, and adding the keyboards placed Arrow Space as the most unique Lakota Sioux Rock Band.
During the years as Arrow Space matured musicians came and left Arrow Space continued Rocking the Indian Reservations with their unique Rock style filling all the gaps. The late mild mannered David Mouseaux took over for Darryl on bass guitar. RKI became more comfortable inserting more and more originals which the communities called Arrow Space Rez Rock.
Arrow Space started braking out of the Sioux Reservations performing in Omaha, Ne and on to Los Angeles,CA where the band performed along with actress/singer Joenelle Nadine Romero (Pow Wow Hwy). Returning back to Los Angeles, Arrow Space followed the great Native Rock Band "Red Bone" on stage and shook the crowd with the Saxaphone entro of RKI followed by his powerful Rock vocals, and Monte Briggs smoking the lead guitar, thus proving the confidence of the Rock Group from the Rez.
Arrow Space performed throughout the US on stage with many greats, including Yothu Yindi, Black Uhuru, Ulali, Richie Havens, and RKI on Bass guitar for Chuck Berry. Benefit concerts for all causes including the saving of Kinderbauernhof in Kreuzberg Berlin, Germany, Paha Sapa a benefit for KILI Radio in Porcupine, with Willie Nelson, Neil Young, Kris Kristopherson and many more.
Arrow Space has gained the respect of the international music community and features many international musicians on tour. In the mean time Donnie Mesteth lives in Porcupine, Darryl Fast Horse in Pine Ridge, Pat Clifford in Batesland, and RKI in St. Francis on the Rosebud Reservation, in South Dakota.
The Arrow Space Rock & Roll Group takes pride in calling itself the inventors of REZ ROCK.

Here are what two recent clients had to say about hiring Narrow Gauge:
Dear Jim,
We were very happy with your services. You took care of all the set up and tear down as well as any issues during the night. This goes for the cocktail/dinner music as well. All of your musicians were really friendly and flexible ( i.e. having 6 girls up on stage to sing) and your fun attitude was much appreciated. You also did an excellent job keeping the wedding on track (i.e. getting the dancing started) without pressuring us to follow a time line exactly. Most importantly though, the music was great and there was never an empty dance floor....or even a sparsely populated one! It was by far one of the best parties I've been to, and to have it be our wedding too was more that we could have asked for."
Thanks,
Kyler and Emily Brown
Dear Gigleader,
Thank you Gigleader for leading us to such a great band for our wedding! Narrow Gauge was the perfect fit. We had looked all over and could not find a band that we thought would fit our guests. We love country music and so did many of our guests, but there were also people who liked a variety of different genres of music. Narrow Gauge played to the crowd and kept the dance floor packed all night. We had so much fun that we even hired them for an extra set! Narrow Gauge was easy to work with! Jim was so helpful in helping us plan our reception. We had all the details worked out weeks before the reception, so I could try to relax! He even MC'd the event for us. They let several of our guest sing on stage with them, and even let Steve, my new husband play bass on one song. He doesn't even know how to play bass, but somehow it sounded great. During their breaks they had DJ music pumping through the dance floor, so even when they weren't playing, our guests kept dancing! It was truly a night to remember. Thank you Narrow Gauge for your professionalism and talent. You were so phenomenal! We couldn't recommend you more highly!
Our Funeral Forgotten - Colorado Springs, Colorado
Our Funeral Forgotten performs some of the most impressive alt-rock you'll hear around town (Colorado Independent Newpaper.) Sounds like HIM, Angels and Airwaves with a touch of Classic Johnny Cash. Live show is a must to see. Edgar Allan Poe meets rock.
Not just another rock band, formed in late 2002 by guitarist Ross Ryan and singer Brian Kato (bassist Zach Newton and drummer Jason Jojola round out the band), 8om has been paying its dues as an independent act for quite some time. In their 4 years together, the band has done alot, from self-booking and promoting their own tours, living out of a van, dealing with a line-up change that would have ended most bands, self-financing two EPs and one full-length (The Pink Of Condition" - 2004, "Between Consiousness and Dreams" -2005 and "All The Things You Can't Leave Behind" -2006), and gaining regional radio play, to performing opening slots for national acts such as Crossfade, 30 Seconds To Mars, Lostprophets, Mushroomhead, VAST and Strata. Hard at work from their homebase of Loveland, CO, the boys are crafting the songs which will appear on their "yet to be titled" full-length album and plotting a 2007 U.S. tour. With a new sound, a fresh perspective and the help of producer Eric Greedy (produced Hurt -Vol.1 - capitol), 8om is prepared to set the world on fire.
Hell hath no fury like The MIGHTY 18 WHEELER. Growing up from their Rockabilly tinged chops of the past, the boys sound has gotten heavier over the last couple years. In evidence from the latest release "Charmed Life". Bobby Smith(Guitar) and longtime sidekick Jimmy Kolodziej(upright Bass) have carved out a Metal Billy approach that wavers somewhere in between Eddie Cochran and Motorhead. Lateset addition to the band is drummer Gt Skragg, a veteran of the Denver music scene. Expect anything at a MIGHTY 18WHEELER show. The music is loud, The clothes are loud, and the primal energy never stops.
Picture AC/DC with pompadours. Nuff said!
