Defined by a unique style of music and reaching a wide audience, the edison project is a pop heavy, groove rock band from Augusta, GA that has made their mark on the southeast music scene. In 2005 & 2006 the edison project was voted Best Rock Band in Augusta by the readers of The Augusta Magazine and earned the opening slot at the hugely successful Drive For Show, Rock Fore! Dough concert Masters Week, where the band began the show featuring Collective Soul and Hootie & the Blowfish. The band sites its influences from a wide range of artists, including Wilco, Ryan Adams, Coldplay, Third Eye Blind, Weezer, Jimmy Eat World, and a multitude of jazz artists. The huge talent in edison shines forth in their progressive anthems and melodic ballads. Most react in amazement when hearing the Edison project for the first time, wondering how these young music lovers can have such a cultivated and coaxing sound, manipulating their instruments and vocals at will and having an almost spiritual effect on the most critical of listeners. Well really I got myself as this band and the music me and my boys produce is hip hop, rap, and some r and b. I am with two different groups and both have flavor and originality. I do produce hits by myself. All or Nuthin' and the Down South Committee are both on the team, so Im bringing a variety of fresh new sounds.
