Whereas many bigger names have already made it, the hunger of the Swinging Demons means they follow their fearless leader wherever he takes them from his own bag of favorites to big-band standards to personally penned classics, Johnny is still making his sound and proving his artistic vision nightly. Anyone who saw Duke in the s (Washingtonians) or Goodmans incarnations in the s knows that special time when a genuine sound is about to explode. You can feel Angel and his Demons undeniably dynamic freshness in every song; they cause feet to tap and heads to turn wherever they play. New York supplies the roots for Johnny, but New Orleans gives his sound a caramelized backbeat sweeter than local molasses. Punk rock based sound but open to many types of music. Mostly original material. Guitars, bass, and lead vocals already in-place but drummer is needed to start gigging asap. We would consider a talented guitar soloist and a keyboard player to round things out.
Well really I got myself as this band and the music me and my boys produce is hip hop, rap, and some r and b. I am with two different groups and both have flavor and originality. I do produce hits by myself. All or Nuthin' and the Down South Committee are both on the team, so Im bringing a variety of fresh new sounds.
