We play just about every genre and anywhere we can. Normally we are a funk rock band that plays primarily in rock bars, but when we do weddings we are generally given a list of songs, and play all of the couples requests.

Led by percussionist/guitarist Manuel “Manny” Perez and pianist/arranger Kevin Doyle, Latin Jazz Project features the lead vocalist Carlos Day, percussionist Juancito Bentancourt on timbales, Francisco Quinones on congas and bassist Alex Aponte, all monumental talents.

Influenced heavily by artists such as Cab Calloway, Louis Armstrong, Louis Jordan and Louis Prima the band plays that jumpin’ jive so reminiscent of zoot suits and two-tone shoes. And when they play that New Orleans sound you can almost taste the creole and gumbo at Mardi Gras.
