The Singer--
“Power and passion” are words that have been used to describe Maureen Kelly’s voice and music. Maureen blends life experience with her Soul/Blues/Rock leanings to create her own Alternative sound.
Maureen was drawn to recording artists who could really get into the music including Aretha Franklin, Joe Cocker and Janice Joplin.--
Maureen has performed all over the US and much of the world, including performances at The Sahara Tahoe, The Portland Rose Festival and The Amnesty International Poetry of Witness Concert.---
While living and performing in LA Maureen’s singing and songwriting ability caught the attention of songwriter Bert Carroll, producer/director Steve Binder and harmonica
player Lee Oskar who encouraged and helped her to record her own music.---

The Songwriter--
Maureen is a published, BMI affiliated, singer-songwriter. Her album, “Pendulum Dream”, which included of her songs, was on the ballot for a GRAMMY award.--
She has had her songs published by Yellow Rose of Texas Publishing Company, Tip Music and Rio Hard Luck Music and have been offered publishing contracts by Baby Huey Music and Big Wedge Music.

Every wedding and party needs some form of entertainment, so why not a DJ? I am a mobile disk jockey who provides sound, music and lighting for any event. I'll make your wedding or party a memorable one, while having fun at what I enjoy doing - music!
I have over , songs to spin, and that library is growing daily. Along with playing music, I can make general announcements, entertain, provide sound and lighting for other people, and work with other vendors at an event to make sure everything runs smoothly.
Clients are offered a free consultation meeting (in person if close to Eugene, OR; over phone or through e-mail if not) to discuss my services, music that should be played and any other details that will need to be gone over before the event. After that we can stay in contact through e-mail and phone to make any changes or add last minute requests to your playlist.

The Rotations are the brainchild of bandmembers Liz Nash and George Johnson, with much appreciated guidance and support from world class Bassist and Flutist, Brian Lowe.
Brian, having settled in the Portland area after a very colorful, educational and adventurous + yrs that netted him a couple of degrees in Music, had him doing studio/session and gig work in Los Angelas for almost yrs, performing in Japan, Oregon State, California and on a few Cruise Lines.
Liz had performed as lead singer/frontperson for a couple of very successful hard rock/metal bands in the early 's around the Eugene/Albany/Willamette Valley areas, prior to her moving to Washington state. After an almost yr working from New Jersey to New Orleans, she returned to Portland to find that the 'Blues' had invaded just about everywhere!
Now, being the classic rocker she's always been, she spent the last yrs collecting a handful of the best, most talented, like-minded, pro musicians she could find and asked them..."Hey! You guys want to play some REAL music? Want to show this town what a live band is REALLY all about?"
And lo and behold, a few of them agreed!
After some intense collaboration with George Johnson and Brian Lowe, The Rotations have started to shape into something dynamic and truly special.

Native Root is, "a dimension where the spoken word merges with tunes which embrace life's new beginnings." Reno Gazette Journal 7/25/06. “Native Root's sound is a veritable witch's brew of styles, but Dave Kellers, Art Hafen, Matt Burke, Kevin Thomas, Scott Rouse and Zack Hajackas hold together their sonic meld of jazz, hip-hop, soul and you-name-it, inspiring brazen dance-floor antics.” Reno News and Review April, 2005. Nr started as a tribute project to a beloved friend and percussion stallion Jon Paul Orebough who had passed on. It has since metamophisized into a 6 piece ensemble touring full time in the 7 most western states. With high energy live performances, and dynamic song writing, NR incorporates everything from brass instruments (bari/tenor/alto sax and bass/tenor trombone) to keys (b3 organ/keyboard), guitar and your anything but typical rhythm section, creating a full stage of funk with a jam band blues root that keeps the energy up from start to finish. When you add the socially conscious, poetic hip hop and soul melodies of front man Burke, you have an out of the box genre, for an in the pocket groove....good for body, mind and spirit.
