The Jay Raymond Trio explores the beauty and subtleties of the Great American Songbook in addition to original jazz in the same style. Whether performing the classic songs of George Gershwin and Cole Porter or the modern compositions of John Coltrane and Wayne Shorter, the trio contributes their own personal approach to every tune they play. Among these three like-minded musicians, musical interaction is valued above all else, resulting in a lasting and rewarding musical experience for both musician and listener alike. All three musicians have performed or recorded with many of the great jazz musicians in Chicago and St. Louis.
Flint River is a group of local teens with exceptional musical talent. Their exciting performances at coffee houses throughout the Saint Charles area are pulling in a rapidly growing, enthusiastic fan base. Playing a mixture of high-energy Bluegrass, toe-tapping (and sometimes soulful) Irish, and traditional folk tunes, these teens are a “must see.” Recently, they began to write and perform original songs, including their most requested, “The Cricket Song.”
