| We are very different but in a good way. Our blues influences are evident but we present it in a different way. It has a good feel because of the acoustic guitar and smooth lead vocals. Also we write all of our own music. |

| A regular on the Nashville music scene, Toluenes vocalist & songwriter Jamon Scott has hammered out his distinctive brand of southwestern country rock on stages from Asbury Park, N.J. to Los Angeles, CA including the legendary Rainbow Room on Hollywoods Sunset Strip. With comparisons to John Mellencamp, Jimmy Buffet and Robert Earl Keen, Jamon has garnered Best Male Vocals and Best Lyrics awards on Garageband while The Toluenes held the .. artist position in their genre for straight months on Audiostreet . Guitarist Dan Crawley, a prolific songwriter in his own right, moved to Nashville right out of high school and honed his craft in such clubs as the famed Bluebird Cafe, eventually signing his first publishing deal. Later, he relocated to Lexington, KY, where he spent the late ' 's and early 's "paying his dues" on the local music scene before hooking up with Jamon in and forming The Toluenes. a great sound with a wickedly cool sense of humor, burns like cheap tequila chased by a long-turned lime and rockin' bar (band) - makes me want to down a longneck and boogie are just a few of the words reviewers have used to describe The Toluenes, on their debut c.d. Hola from The Toluenes. The disc was recorded in Nashville and co-produced by Jim Allison, who wrote such hits as Reba McEntires What Am I Gonna Do About You and LeAnn Rimes Fade To Blue. | Rising from the remains of various other underground bands, stretching from many styles, including (but not limited to) Punk, Glam, Thrash, Metal, Indie, and even a bit of Country, comes "The Searching".
After leaving Hollywood upon the demise of Heart Throb Mob, Mark (Vocals/Guitar) reunited with long time friend Eric (Bass) and the two soon found themselves playing with other friends in Silent Film Stars, but as with most things this also came to an end. After making more attempts to get their music off the ground in other bands with various friends and acquaintances, they took a small break, mainly because of many failed attempts to lock down a drummer. Many things were changing in their lives and the future was uncertain. Then through the companion of Eric enters Josh (Drums). Having dealt with alot of the same issues with previous bands & also enjoying the same styles of music, he was on the same page. The three of them decided to give it a shot, and from that The Searching was born.
The Searching is a very serious & professionally minded band that plays rock & roll, combining the many styles they love & have played in former bands, and adding their love for horror, they feel they have found the band they were meant to be a part of. |
